About Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in the city of Agra, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth in 1631.

Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and was completed in 1653. It is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture, which is a blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic styles. The complex includes a mosque and a guest house, as well as the main mausoleum.

The Taj Mahal is made entirely of white marble and is decorated with intricate carvings and inlaid semiprecious stones. The building's central dome is surrounded by four smaller domes, and its façade features intricate calligraphy and floral designs.

Today, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the world's most beautiful buildings. It attracts millions of visitors from around the world every year and is a symbol of India's rich cultural heritage.
